When you install an After Idle app, we access certain data from your Shopify store through the Shopify API, including:

  • Store information (name, URL, plan details) for app configuration
  • Product data (titles, descriptions, images, metadata) for automated optimization
  • Page and collection data for SEO scanning and fixing
  • Google Search Console data (Autopilot Pro and Max plans only) for keyword-aware optimization, authorized via OAuth

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively to power the automation features you install our apps for:

  • Scanning your store for SEO issues and opportunities
  • Automatically generating and applying fixes
  • Creating optimized product descriptions and metadata
  • Generating weekly summary reports of automated actions
  • Improving our AI models' accuracy (aggregated, anonymized data only)

4. Third-Party Services

We work with the following third-party services to deliver our apps:

  • Shopify: Store data access and billing
  • Anthropic: AI processing for content generation and optimization
  • Google: Search Console data integration (Pro and Max plans)
  • Vercel: Application hosting and delivery

5. Data Retention

We retain your store data only while your app subscription is active. Upon uninstalling any After Idle app, all associated store data is deleted from our systems within 30 days.

6. GDPR Compliance

We comply with GDPR requirements. We implement Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks for:

  • Customer data request
  • Customer data erasure
  • Shop data erasure

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.
